Driver dies after hit-and-run accident, WSP asking for witnesses

WSP Trooper Ryan Burke reported that the accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. last Friday night. The victim sustained serious injuries and died soon after. WSP believes the suspect’s vehicle is a red or maroon SUV with damage on the passenger side.
State Route 16 opened back up by about 1:30 a.m. last Saturday after Troopers completed their investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact WSP immediately.
