CHEHALIS, WA – A distracted driver who failed to slow down behind three other cars rear-ended one of them on Interstate 5 northbound near exit 79 on Tuesday.

According to Newsbreak, the driver who caused the accident was Kyla J. Cramer, 32. Three vehicles in front of Cramer’s 2001 Dodge Dakota slowed down because there was debris in the road. Cramer did not notice this in time and rear-ended a Toyota Camry, injuring the 21-year-old driver inside.

The Camry then rear-ended a Ford pickup truck, which rear-ended a Toyota SUV.

Cramer is expected to be charged with vehicular assault and Washington State Patrol believe substances or alcohol were contributing factors.
