Crews respond to scene of small fire in Seattle high rise residence

SEATTLE, WA — Fire crews responded to a fire confined to one unit at a high rise residence early Friday morning in Seattle, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

 

The incident occurred at the 100 block of Cedar Street and was reported by Seattle Fire around 5:29 a.m.

The fire was reported to have been extinguished by the sprinkler system, and firefighters were able to rescue one occupant from the room of the fire. Paramedics were on scene to evacuate the occupant.

The response team was reduced to a few units.

An investigation into the incident is underway. No other information has been released.
