KING COUNTY, WA — A rollover accident late Friday morning closed up to three lanes on Interstate 5 near the Midway area in Kent, reports Washington State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on a span of I-5 southbound approaching State Route 516 shortly before 11:45 a.m.

Two center lanes were initially reported blocked, but shortly after 12:00 p.m., the closure had been upgraded to three lanes.

Footage shared by WSDOT suggests at least three vehicles were involved. One sedan can be seen at rest on its roof with wheels up. It is unclear whether any serious injuries were sustained, but multiple pedestrians can be seen standing outside the vehicles.

Washington State Patrol and emergency crews responded to the scene, which had motorists passing through on the HOV and far right lane.

No further information has been released at this time.
