Crash on I-5 near SR 16 reduces traffic to one lane

TACOMA, WA – A car accident blocked three lanes of northbound Interstate 5 near State Route 16 on Friday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred before 7:45 a.m. Friday. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the accident remains unclear while police investigate.

The highway reopened completely shortly after 7:48 a.m.
