Collision causes rush hour traffic on I-405 NB before Sunset

RENTON, WA – A collision on northbound I-405 south of Sunset Boulevard is blocking the HOV lane and causing rush hour traffic, the Washington State Department of Transportation reports.

On I-405 northbound just south of Sunset Blvd NE there is a collision blocking the HOV lane.

The collision was first reported at 6:40 a.m. and is still active as of this writing. While there is traffic-cam footage of the incident, the poor visibility makes it difficult to see how many vehicles were involved.
