Car fire blocks two lanes of traffic on I-5 this morning
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA – The Washington State Department of Transportation reported a car fire this morning via their Twitter account.
The incident occurred on northbound I-5, close to the Southcenter shopping center, at around 9:15 on June 12. Two lanes of traffic were closed off initially to contain the fire. After first responders arrived at the scene, they contained the fire to the high-occupancy vehicle lane.
It took them about an hour to clear the accident. There is no word yet whether there were any people inside the vehicle. Officials have not confirmed the cause of the fire yet.
