Bremerton, Washington (June 12, 2019) – The driver of a car died after his vehicle crashed down the ravine on the 5400 block of Hansberry Street Northwest on early Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as Ean Swanson, was extricated by rescue crews and taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. It has been determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the torso.

According to investigators, Swanson was heading north on Hansberry Street when he crossed into the southbound lane and left the road. It has been determined that he was going too fast around a curve which had a posted speed of 30 mph. Officials have also said that the victim had a significant blood alcohol level.
