At 9:40 p.m. Monday evening, two Bothell police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle that was traveling west on State Route 522 in Bothell.
Instead of heeding the officers’ commands, the driver led them on a chase, hitting a man on an electric scooter in the process, according to KOMO News.
The driver crashed through the median at 10300 block of Woodinville Drive, then exchanged gunfire with officers before fleeing on foot.
Backup officers arrived on the scene to find one officer dead and another wounded. The wounded officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center, along with the scooter rider.
Officers located the suspect hiding out on a nearby roof at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday morning and arrested him.
