SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person died Tuesday morning in a collision near Everett’s South Forest Park neighborhood, reports Q13 FOX Seattle.

The accident impacted a span of Rucker Avenue from 41st Street to 43rd Street at approximately 8:00 a.m.

It is not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but a photo shared by Everett Police Department shows the right northbound lane littered with debris along a shopping strip.

At least one person was killed as a result of the crash.

All northbound lanes on Rucker Avenue were closed to traffic as detectives worked the scene.

Colby Avenue was recommended as an alternate route, since the area was expected to remain shut down for hours.

By 11:14 a.m., one northbound lane was reopened, with the remaining lanes to follow as authorities concluded their on-scene investigation.
