Accident shuts down I-5 offramp near Seattle’s South Lake Union
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA — A vehicle wreck late Monday afternoon closed an Interstate 5 offramp for more than an hour near the South Lake Union area in Seattle, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the ramp connecting I-5 southbound to Mercer Street and was first reported by WSDOT at 3:35 p.m.
On the I-5 southbound off-ramp to Mercer St there is a collision partially blocking the ramp.

Officials warned of an extended closure and advised motorists to find alternate routes.

By 5:19 p.m., nearly two hours later, the ramp was reported reopened to traffic.
No further information has been disclosed on the parties involved or any significant injuries.
