Accident on SB I-5 south of Lakewood causes traffic buildup

LAKEWOOD, WA – Washington State Trooper Ryan Burke reported an accident on southbound Interstate 5 just south of Lakewood that caused a traffic backup on Thursday morning.
!Blocking collision! South I-5, milepost 122. Traffic is getting by in the far right lane. Left lanes will remain blocked until tows arrive. Does not appear to be serious injury. Expect backups.

According to Burke, no one involved in the accident sustained serious injuries. The accident happened around 8 a.m. but was cleared by 8:41 a.m.
