74-year-old victim identified in fatal crash on SR 530

ROCKPORT, WA – The 74-year-old victim of a single-car crash that occurred on Washington State Route 530 near Rockport has been identified.
Charles Hickey, 74, of Bothell, Washington, died on June 23 after his 1992 Ford Explorer crossed the centerline of SR 530 and veered off the road.
The accident occurred around 6:42 a.m. on SR 530 near milepost 65, according to Skagit Breaking. First responders transported Hickey to Providence Hospital where he died from his injuries.
It is unclear what caused the accident, but State Troopers are investigating.
