60-year-old Kennewick man dead in wrong-way collision

PROSSER, WA – A 60-year-old man from Kennewick died in a three-car collision on Interstate 82 near Prosser on Jan. 6, YakTri News reports.

The victim, Steven Chalcraft, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-82 around 11 p.m. on Jan. 6. Chalcraft collided with a pickup truck, which then hit another car on the interstate. Chalcraft died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Kadlec with injuries. The driver of the third car involved was not injured.

Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
