KENT, WA – Six teenagers were taken to the hospital early this morning after a vehicle collided with an apartment building in Kent, according to KOMO News.

The accident occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 8700 block of S 259th Street, when an SUV went off the side of the roadway and into the wall of an apartment on the second floor.

The six teenagers inside the SUV were taken to the hospital after the crash.

Two of those victims sustained critical, life-threatening injuries.

Three people were taken for treatment of serious injuries.

The final victim was not immediately hurt but was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

The residents of the apartment were inside when the crash occurred. Luckily, they were not reported as injured.

Authorities do not believe that the driver was under the influence, but was likely traveling at a high rate of speed.
