3-year-old dead in Madison Valley car accident

SEATTLE, WA – A 3-year-old child was thrown from a parked van and killed in an accident in Madison Valley today, according to a report KOMO News.

The accident happened at about 5 p.m. near the intersection of East John Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, when a driver collided with a parked vehicle that a child had been playing inside.

The 3-year-old was thrown from the van and suffered a serious head wound. Despite emergency efforts, the child died.

At this time, investigators do not believe that alcohol played a part in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
