20-year-old killed, two teens hurt after car crashes into pole on Camano Island

CAMANO ISLAND, WA – A 20-year-old man was killed and two teenage passengers were severely injured when a car collided with a power pole on Camano Island this afternoon.

According to KOMO News, the accident occurred in the 1700 block of SE Camino Drive, near S Hartman Place, around 3:20 p.m., as a 20-year-old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed.

He went off the side of the road and collided with a pole, causing it to break in two.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and two 17-year-old occupants were brought to the hospital with serious wounds. One of the passengers is in critical condition.

The identities of the victims have not yet been revealed.
