LAKEWOOD, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a five-vehicle collision on southbound I-5 at Gravely Lake Drive late last night.
Southbound 5 at Gravely Lake:
Pickup Truck spun out and hit the left barrier, 3 more cars hit the truck, semi truck came through and ran over the white car sheering off the left side of the car. Zero injuries! Someone explain that one. The rear door was located 200ft south. pic.twitter.com/BQ4ZJYwo0y— Trooper Ryan Burke (@wspd1pio) February 12, 2021
According to the Public Information Officer for the WSP’s First District, troopers arrived on the scene at approximately 10 p.m. on February 11. They determined that a pickup traveling south on I-5 had lost traction and crashed into the left-hand barrier. Three more passenger vehicles struck the pickup, one of which was subsequently hit by a semi truck. The force of that collision tore of the driver’s side of that vehicle and carried it 200 feet down the interstate.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the dramatic series of collisions.
