KITSAP COUNTY, WA – A police officer was injured after using his car to stop an allegedly drunk wrong-way driver in Kitsap County Friday night, according to KOMO News.

Police reported that a Bremerton woman was driving the wrong way down SR-3, prompting a call for an erratic driver.

A State Trooper, Alan Dixon, moved his vehicle in front of the other driver’s, and she then collided with the cruiser in a head-on collision.

Dixon was taken to the hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

The other driver is facing charges of a possible DUI.
