WA-599 NB reopens after 12-car crash

SEATTLE, WA – Traffic on northbound WA-599 has been restored following a 12-vehicle crash that brought it to a halt early this morning.

The collision occurred on WA-599 near E Marginal Way at about 5 a.m. this morning, per our previous reporting. The woman who is believed to be responsible for the accident fled the scene on foot and may have been picked up by another vehicle.
The Washington State Department of Transportation announced the highway’s reopening via its Twitter account at 8:18 a.m., more than three hours after the pileup was first reported.
