SNOHOMISH, WA – More details have been released from Saturday’s car accident on State Route 522 in Snohomish, according to KOMO News.

The driver who caused the accident, a 54-year-old woman from Shoreline, was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash. Multiple witnesses report her driving erratically before she crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle in a head-on collision.

The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center for multiple injuries, including several fractures.

She is facing charges of vehicular assault and DUI.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were a 24-year-old Monroe woman and a 27-year-old Snohomish man, who were both transported to the hospital for treatment.

The male victim broke his leg, while the female victim was critically injured and was taken into surgery. She is expected to survive.
