Update: Bothell police officer shot and killed Monday is identified
Request Free ConsultationBOTHELL, WA – The Bothell police officer who was shot and killed while pursuing a vehicle that failed to stop on Monday has been identified as Jonathan Shoop.
Shoop and his partner attempted to pull over a vehicle on SR 522 around 9:40 p.m. Monday when the car failed to stop and led police on a chase.
The driver struck the median on the 10300 block of Woodinville Drive, exited his vehicle, and shot at the officers before fleeing on foot.
The suspect shot Shoop, who died at the scene. Shoop’s partner, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to the hospital for treatment.
