SEATTLE, WA – Authorities say at least two people were injured after an RV crashed into two vehicles and a pedestrian in West Seattle during a police chase on Monday afternoon.

According to KOMO News, the incident happened at the intersection of Delridge Way Southwest and Southwest Andover Street at around 3 p.m.

The driver of the RV ran a red light and sped away when police attempted a traffic stop, before losing control of the vehicle and sliding down a hill on Delridge Way SW. The RV then struck a tanker truck, another vehicle, and a pedestrian before colliding with a building.

A 79-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. A 44-year-old woman was also injured but only required treatment at the scene.

Police say the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, but was later apprehended.

We will update this blog if more details become available.
