Traffic slowed behind bus-involved crash in Alderwood

ALDERWOOD, WA – Commuters began stacking up on Interstate 5 behind the scene of a bus-involved traffic accident in Alderwood on Monday morning.

According to an alert from WSDOT, the accident happened in the northbound I-5 lanes near I-405 around 6:30 a.m. A bus appeared to be involved.

The HOV lane and the adjacent left-hand lane were blocked off by the accident and emergency vehicles. Multiple ambulances responded to the scene. Injuries have not been confirmed.

Drivers were backed up about a mile.
