Toppenish, Washington – One Dead, One Hospitalized in Rollover Crash

Toppenish, Washington (April 22, 2019) – The driver of a car was hospitalized and a woman passenger killed after their car crashed shortly after 1 a.m. on early Monday morning at LaRue Road on US-97. The passenger was pronounced dead on the scene, while the driver was sent to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Yakima.

The two were heading north when the car rolled off the road, and according to the Washington State Patrol neither of the victims were wearing seat belts. The WSP believes drugs or alcohol may be involved in the accident, but the cause is still under investigation.

As was the situation in this accident, be especially careful on late hours, especially if the road is lacking sufficient illumination. It would also help to identify busy roads ad try to avoid being in their proximity to minimize any risk of a vehicle accident.
