RIMROCK LAKE, WA – A teenager is dead after a horrific rollover accident near Rimrock Lake Friday afternoon, KIMA reports.

Yakima County Deputy Scot Swallow said the accident occurred at Forest Service Rd 850, off Tieton Reservoir Road, at around 2 p.m.

First responders from Naches Fire Department found the juvenile victim already dead, as he was pinned underneath the 1993 Chevrolet Tahoe.

The boy was one of four passengers in the SUV, which overturned when the 19-year-old driver lost control on a downhill curve in the road. Deputy Swallow said the victim was a front-seat passenger and not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The driver and the other passengers of the car did not sustain major injuries. There is no evidence that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to Deputy Swallow.
