Spokane, Washington (February 2, 2020) – Two people were injured after being struck in a suspected DUI crash at the Spokane International Airport’s baggage loading area on Sunday night. According to the report from The Spokesman-Review, the victim’s car was in the loading area when a car driven by David W. Bergstrom crashed into them. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the information from the Spokane Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. From witness reports Bergstrom was speeding in the area when he struck the couple, and his car continued into a pylon beyond the loading zone. Bystanders came together to assist the victims and their unhurt relatives. Spokane Police were called onto the scene to arrest Bergstrom and conduct investigation. Bergstrom was reported to be in court on Monday, and as of Monday afternoon has been released from jail without having to post bond.
