Sheriff’s deputy and resident injured in Burien apartment fire

BURIEN, WA – A sheriff’s deputy and another person were injured following an apartment fire in Burien yesterday afternoon, according to KOMO News.

The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 600 block of Ambaum Boulevard at about 1 p.m.

A resident of the building jumped out of their apartment to escape the flames. They were then taken to the hospital for the treatment of minor wounds.

A sheriff’s deputy sustained minor burn and smoke inhalation injuries while at the scene. He was brought to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

There is no word at this time on the cause of the fire.
