Shelton, Washington (April 30, 2020) – A driver was taken to the hospital after crashing into a tree off Highway 101 near milepost 339 on early Thursday morning. According to a report from Grays Harbor Scanner, the 16 year-old male driver was taken to Mason General Hospital for treatment. The condition of the patient was not given. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

According to information from the Washington State Patrol, the teen was driving south in a 2006 Mazda 6 on Highway 101 near Purdy Cutoff Road. Around 2;15 a.m., the teen’s vehicle went off the road to the right and struck a tree. He was reported to have been driving under the influence, but the cause of the accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.
