Semi truck strikes railroad bridge, scatters forklifts on I-5
Request Free ConsultationLAKEWOOD, WA – A semi-truck struck a railroad bridge on Interstate 5 north of Bridgeport Way, scattering its load of forklifts on the interstate last Wednesday.
Traffic alert!! Semi struck the railroad bridge, north of Bridgeport Way overpass in Lakewood. Southbound I-5 is blocked. Debris in northbound lanes as well. Troopers on scene attempting to clear. Forklifts scattered on roadway that were on semi. Thanks for your patience.

Washington State Trooper Ryan Burke reported the accident via Twitter at 6:19 p.m. July 8.
The accident slowed traffic, as crews worked to remove debris from the northbound and southbound lanes.
The highway was open again to traffic by 7:47 p.m., according to Burke, and the Department of Ecology arrived on the scene to clean up spilled diesel fuel.
No one was injured in this accident.
