Seattle, Washington (March 29, 2020) – A car crash that occurred on the 1500 block of Alki Avenue Southwest led to three people getting taken to hospitals. According to the report from the West Seattle Blog, all occupants of the car in the crash were able to get out by themselves but three patients were hospitalized via the Seattle Fire Department medic unit and AMR ambulances.

Update: From an article from KOMO News posted on March 31, 2020, the car was occupied by a 26 year-old driver, a young woman and three children. Witnesses assisted the occupants in getting out of the car and all occupants were taken to the hospital for treatment of varying injuries. The driver was evaluated at the hospital and found to have signs of impairment. Police also said there was evidence of drug use by both adult occupants. The driver has been booked into King County Jail for investigation of DUI.

In 2017, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)  have reported a total of 120, 993 car accidents. Of those accidents, 525 were fatal and 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
