Seattle, Washington – Stage Barricade Collapses, Causes Injury at Bumbershoot

Seattle, Washington (August 31, 2019) – The collapse of a stage barricade at the Fischer Green Stage resulted in over two dozen people getting injured. A total of twenty-five people were treated on the scene by medics from the Seattle Fire Department. Four people were also taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

According to statement from the event organizers, there was a steel barricade failure, causing the setup to collapse. A new barricade was reported to have been installed on Sunday, and Bumbershoot will be continuing despite the accident.
