Seattle, Washington (August 11, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a train on the tracks near 3rd Avenue South and South Holgate Street. Crews responded to the incident around 7:45 a.m.

The tracks in the area of the incident are used by trains from the Amtrak and Sound Transit Sounder. No word has been given if the accident has affected train activities. The circumstances leading up to the collision have not been determined.
