Seattle, Washington – One Firefighter Injured in Three-Alarm Business Fire

Seattle, Washington (October 7, 2019) – One firefighter sustained minor injuries while responding to a fire at the 2300 block of Northwest Market Street on Monday. The firefighter was taken to Harborview Medical Center, and there has been no further word on their condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident, but three businesses have been considered a total loss due to heavy damage.

The fire was first reported around 12 p.m. Around 12:50 p.m. the fire was upgraded to three alarms, with more than 150 firefighters responding to the scene. The cause of the fire has been undetermined, but the Seattle Fire Department reported the fire was likely caused by an overheated electrical.
