Seattle, Washington – Collision at 42nd Avenue South and South Alaska Street

Seattle, Washington (January 21, 2020) – A collision was reported to have occurred on 42nd Avenue South and South Alaska Street around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. According to the report from the West Seattle Blog, the Seattle Fire Department responded to the incident, but no medic units were on the scene, indicating that no major injuries were in the incident. The cause and circumstances of the crash has not been reported. The Seattle Department of Transportation reported that the incident blocked the way and asked drivers to use alternate routes. The road was cleared by 5 p.m.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
