SEATTLE, WA – A person was killed after being run over by a car late last night in Seattle in a Halloween-night accident, according to a tweet by the Seattle Police Dept.

The accident happened near Columbia Park, near the intersection of Rainier Ave S and S Alaska St and was reported by Seattle PD just before 11 p.m.

SPD reported that the roadways in the area would be closed for a time for the investigation of the collision.

The identities of the driver and victim have not yet been revealed.

It is unclear at this point if the pedestrian collision is related to the renewed demonstrations against Seattle PD in the area.
