PACIFIC BEACH, WA – A woman was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver as she walked along SR-109 just north of Pacific Beach yesterday evening, according to a report filed by the Washington State Police.

KXRO reports that a 39-year-old woman from Cornelius was walking along the highway’s shoulder when she was hit by a southbound vehicle at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17. The driver continued south and is still at large.

The woman was found lying in a ditch on the side of the road and was transported by helicopter to Tacoma General Hospital.
