Pedestrian hit in crosswalk by suspected DUI driver

RICHLAND, WA – A 44-year-old Richland woman was struck by a suspected DUI driver while using the crosswalk on Monday evening, according to YakTri News.

The victim, Christiana Williams, was crossing near SR-240 and Duportail Street when 46-year-old Laura Pickel struck her with her vehicle.

Williams was transported to Kadlec with injuries and is currently in an unknown condition.

Charges are pending as the Washington State Patrol believes drugs or alcohol were likely factors in this collision.
