Pedestrian fatally hit by Sound Transit train in Kent

KENT, WA – A man was fatally struck by a South Transit train just north of Kent Station on Thursday afternoon, according to KOMO News.

Kent Police reported that the man laid down on the train tracks and did not move when the train conductor used horns and emergency whistles to warn of the oncoming train. The train hit the man, despite the conductor using its emergency brakes.

Police are still investigating this incident.
