Pasco, Washington (January 28, 2020) – Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle head-on collision at Interstate 182 on Tuesday afternoon. According to the article from KEPR, the driver one car car, 23 year-old Luis Nunez, along with passenger 24 year-old Ismael Campos from the same vehicle, were both taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. An earlier report stated that the hospitalized patients were in critical and serious condition. The driver of the other vehicle, Jason Etzler, was said to be wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was not transported to a hospital.

The cause and circumstances of the crash have not yet been reported. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash, but drugs and alcohol are said to be involved in the case.The crash caused the eastbound lanes near 4th Avenue to be temporarily blocked.

In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
