Orondo, Washington (March 20, 2020) – A truck overturned onto the road, spilling its cargo of furniture on McNeil Canyon Road near Beebe Bridge on Friday morning. According to the article from 560 KPQ News Radio, the driver was able to pull himself out of the wreckage. There were no injuries mentioned in the report.

The crash was reported around 11:30 a.m. The semi truck had been coming down the hill when the driver lost his brakes, causing the truck to be overturned in the S curves and ending up on its top. Crews from the Orondo Fire Department and Douglas County Fire District 4 responded to the incident, and found one of the truck’s tires to be on fire, and crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading. The incident is being investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
