One dead, seven injured after DUI driver causes 3-car accident

KENT, WA – A man in his 50s died Tuesday night after a driver suspected of DUI caused a three-car, head-on collision near Kent Black Diamond Road and 160 Avenue SE.
3 car head-on fatality collision at Kent Black Diamond Rd/ 160 AVE SE. Male in his 50’s died at the scene. The at-fault driver has been arrested for DUI. 7 other occupants transported to local hospitals all in stable condition. MARR detectives responding.

KOMO News and the King County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Seven people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver who caused the collision was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI.
It is not clear what led up to this accident, but officials are continuing to investigate. Updates will be posted as more information becomes available.
