Newport, Washington – One Dead, One Injured in Rollover Crash, Driver Intoxicated

Spokane, Washington (June 17, 2019) – One woman was killed and the driver injured in a rollover crash at near mile marker 8 of Bead lake Road on Monday. The victim, identified as Hannah E. Dunn, was pronounced dead on the scene. It is currently unknown if she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver, who was also her husband, Nelson Dunn, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash happened on Monday afternoon. The couple were returning from a camping trip in the area. according to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Nelson Dunn drover over an embankment, causing the car to roll down 300 feet. According to the report, Nelson Dunn showed clear signs of intoxication, and has been charged with vehicular homicide. The Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol are both conducting investigation.
