Multi-vehicle collision blocks several lanes of I-5 SB near SR 512

TACOMA, WA – A collision involving multiple vehicles shut down several lanes of southbound I-5 just south of State Route 512 on Tuesday afternoon.

According to South Sound News, the accident involved one overturned semi-truck, a pickup truck, and two SUVs. Officials did not confirm any injuries. Photos from the scene show wrecked concrete barriers dividing the north- and southbound lanes.

Washington State Patrol and West Pierce Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
