ELLENSBURG, WA – A motorhome caught fire Sunday afternoon, temporarily shutting down SR 10 near Ellensburg while officials investigated.

Washington State Trooper John Bryant reported the accident around 2:55 p.m. Sunday. The fire spread from the motorhome to nearby vegetation, sparking a larger brush fire.

Trooper Bryant said that the motorhome was unoccupied at the time of the fire and that no injuries were reported.

As of 3:00 p.m. Sunday, firefighters had extinguished the flames in the motorhome and the brush entirely. Alternating traffic was allowed to pass by the scene.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
