Moses Lake, Washington – Three Hospitalized in Five-Vehicle Accident

Moses Lake, Washington (May 30, 2019) – Two juvenile suspects and one Moses Lake police officer was sent to the hospital following a five-vehicle accident on Evergreen Boulevard. Their conditions have not been provided in the report, but there are currently no reports of any major injuries.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night. The minor apparently ran a stop sign and bounced into three parked vehicles on West Hill Avenue. Due to the crash the roadway was blocked for three hours. Charges are pending while investigation is ongoing.

In 2017, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)  have reported a total of 120, 993 car accidents. Of those accidents, 525 were fatal and 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
