Man killed when suspected DUI driver slams into his disabled vehicle

CONWAY, WA – A man was killed on Interstate 5 near Mt. Vernon Thursday when a driver suspected of being intoxicated rear-ended the victim’s car, which had broken down on the highway.

The victim was driving a Ford pickup truck south on I-5 when it broke down, KOMO reports. Another driver slammed into the back of the pickup, throwing the victim onto the roadway. Officials reported that the man died at the scene.

The causing driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and may be charged with vehicular homicide.
