SEATTLE, WA – A man fell down an elevator shaft and was taken to the hospital in serious condition last night, according to KOMO News.

The accident happened at about 9:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of John Street, located in the Cascade neighborhood, after a 35-year-old man, whose identity was not revealed, fell about 20 feet down an elevator shaft.

He landed on an elevator car, resulting in serious injuries.

Emergency officials administered life-saving measures on the victim, who was then taken to the hospital in critical condition.
