Hoquiam, Washington – One Person Injured in Truck-Car Collision at SR 101

Hoquiam, Washington (December 2, 2019) – One person was injured in a collision involving a car and an unloaded log truck on State Route 101 at Walker Road on Monday morning. The driver of the car was injured and taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for treatment. No word has been given regarding his condition. The driver of the truck appears to be uninjured.

According to the report from the Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning. A log truck headed northbound was following a car too closely, and when the car stopped to make a turn onto Walker Road the truck could not stop in time, striking the back of the car. The impact caused reportable damage to the vehicle. The truck driver has been charged for following too close.
