Fire at Seattle former funeral home deemed arson

SEATTLE, WA – The fire that burned the former White Center funeral home last Wednesday, July 8, was intentionally set, according to fire investigators.

The building stands at 10700 block of 16th Ave SW and has been vacant since the funeral home relocated a couple of months ago.

The flames broke out around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and persisted until firefighters from three districts worked to extinguish it, according to KOMO News.

No one was injured in the fire, and investigators are still determining the exact cause of the fire.
